My Approach
My goal is to help families begin this stage of life with the information and support they need to navigate pregnancy, birth, and parenthood confidently. I specialize in empowering women with histories of trauma and past traumatic birth experiences, homebirth, natural birth. I also offer discounts for black mothers.

About me
I'm Shelby, doula and photographer serving the Sweetwater/Abilene, TX areas. I see each pregnancy and birth as a unique and intimate experience deserving of an environment of love, safety, and mutual respect. I have always had a love for pregnancy and childbirth but got into advocacy and changing birth culture after my own birth experiences (Jovi & Jade), and personal struggles with fertility and miscarriage.

I love helping women find their power within their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journeys, and love to document these once-in-a-lifetime moments in written, photo, and video format. I love knowing that my work makes an impact on families in our community and that your experience will be cherished forever. Flexible and Tailored Services
I provide you and your partner with quality care, evidence-based information and continuous support before, during, and after birth. Our initial meeting requires the presence of your birth partner (spouse, mother, sister, etc.) to ensure inclusiveness. This will also help me tailor my packages to fit your needs and ensure we are a good fit.

The sooner we start services, the better I can help support you and your partner. I do offer discounts for references, testimonials, social media release, and selection of multiple services. If none of the packages fit your needs, we can create one that works best for you.
